Rot & Ruin - Jonathan Maberry Zombies with heart ★★★/5 A great comic book read. Although it’s not from the point of view of the zombie, Rot and Ruin takes a kinder, gentler look at zombies and sheds a tear for the people behind the monsters. The characters are fairly flat and lack depth and motivation for their actions, and the pace drags a bit in the beginning, but in the end the adventure keeps you on the edge of your seat. If you’re a comic book fan, this one is for you.

Zombies have been one of the major components of pop fiction. Starting from the early 20's people have made zombies as major storylines for either books or movies. The most popular zombie themed series today is probably the Walking Dead. The story is about people who live in a post-apocalyptic environment where zombies are running rampant. Even in Korea, there is a movie named Train to Busan which also features zombies as the main antagonist of the story. I think it is a really flexible concept.
